CDMA Adjacent Channel Power
(Option UN5 Only)

Adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) is the ratio of the power level in an adjacent channel (PADJ) to the average power level in the main channel (PMAIN):

ACPR(dBc) = DP = PADJ - PMAIN

In this test, the ESG is configured to generate either an IS-95 CDMA Reverse or FWD 9/FWD 64 modulation pattern in the main channel.

Adjacent-channel power is measured by an E444XA Spectrum Analyzer (PSA) in a 30 kHz bandwidth at an offset frequency of 885 kHz from the center of the main channel.

Connections and Setup Procedures

All test equipment requires a 30 minute warm-up period to ensure accurate performance.

In the following test setup, direct cable and adapter connections are designated as solid lines. Changeable cable and adapter connections are designated as dashed lines.

  1. Connect all test equipment as shown.

  2. Connect GPIB cables to all GPIB-controlled test equipment.

  3. While performing this test, follow all instructions on the controller display.
